Obituary
WILLIAM LESLIE BLOXOM Les passed away peacefully at the Dauphin Personal Care Home on January 29. 2001. He was 92 years of age and had been a resident of the care home since January 1997. Les was born in Rosemount, Manitoba on July 15. 1908. He worked on the family farm until the 1930 s and then moved to Flin Flon. Manitoba where he was eventually employed by the Town or Flin Flon. He married Marjorie Maloney ( who nursed at Flin Flon General Hospital) in June of 1947. They had one son, Bill who now resides with his wife Nila in the Phillipines. Les was an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion and was well known for his playing in old time orchestras at many social events. Les and Marj retired to Dauphin in 1974 and Les enjoyed gardening and bowling, he will always be remembered for his sense of humor and always seeing the positive side of life. Les is predeceased by his wife Marjorie in 1997 and his brothers and sisters, most recently being Cy in November. 1999. Cremation has taken place and he rests peacefully next to Marjorie in the Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin.
