Lori Anne Young nee Gitzel, (64) was surrounded by her family at HSC on August 22, 2023, when the Lord took her home.  Lori fought hard the past year against Cancer.

Randy and Lori married in 1981 and took over the homestead in Roland, where they raised 4 children; Lorissa, Jeremy, Johnathan, and Matthew. Lori’s love for her family was the most important thing to her under her love for Jesus.  Lori loved to spend time with her family and always had to make sure that everyone was taken care of.

Lori was predeceased by Alfonse & Shirely Gitzel (Mom & Dad). She is survived by Randy (Husband), her daughter and sons; Lorissa & Anthony, Jeremy & Michelle, Johnathan & Cassy, and Matthew & Elicia. She leaves behind 5 grandchildren; Kerstin, Kayden, Everett, Jace, & Hendrix. She also had a large extended family that will miss her greatly, which includes her loving sister Cherryl Thevenot.

Services will be held at Carman Pentecostal Assembly on Wednesday, August 30th, 2023 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or Siloam Mission.  Both of these organizations were important to Lori, as she always wanted to help others in need.
